The Coming War Over iPhone: Who Will Win?
IT professionals, charged with company security, will ban and block the iPhone at all costs. Why? The Wi-Fi-enabled iPhone has no firewall, no Exchange or Lotus Notes support, no PBX integration and no ability to wipe company information from it if lost or stolen. It's a security hazard and a liability. Meanwhile, Apple and AT&T will actively market the device to professionals -- and business people will want them. WHO WILL WIN?
Comments:
all of the "facts" you quote are speculation, at best, about a product that has not been released yet. IT "professionals" are notorious for being some of the most ignorant, least talented people in technology. Moreover, these guys are equally notorious for being impediments to improvement. To criticize iPhone for security while managing an Exchange system is a f*cking joke.
So you're saying there will not be significant conflict over iPhones in enterprises and SMEs? Is that what you're saying?
