Islamic Rage Boy Gives (Angry) Interview!

Islamic Rage Boy has been UNMASKED as one Shakeel Bhat, a 31-year-old high school drop-out and ex-con. He told an AFP interviewer, "If my photographs get published across the world, it is because my emotions are real and my looks are not deceptive. The photos show the anger inside." When told that bloggers point and laugh at him, and that T-shirts and other "Rage Boy" merchandise are for sale, he said, "I don't believe this! I have no knowledge about all this. Why do they do it?" He also responded to his nickname, "Islamic Rage Boy," by saying "I don't need any titles. I am a simple Muslim."

This is another reason why blogging will never take place of true journalism. Your facts are wrong. There is no high school equivalent where he is from. In fact, he left school at the age of 10 because he wasn't learning. He is simply illiterate.
He was a failed militant because he couldn't grasp the act of killing another human being. Being a Sufi Muslim, he was taught to spread Islam through peaceful means. There was one incident where he pleaded with his fellow militants to not kill a police informant because he felt that forgiveness was the way to help win.
He's an idealist but he is no simple man. He's humble because his religion makes him that way and he represents anger and resentment toward a corrupt system he is forced to dwell in. He doesn't have a grudge against America and protests only on what issues incite him to do so.
You mock him for showing emotion when he protests against things he feels are unjust. When was the last time you were at a rally for a cause you believed in?
We Americans have become complacent zombies and find an outlet of our fear by ridiculing those who are fearless.
He protests knowing he may get tortured like he has before but he does it because he believes strongly in an idea.
The sad part isn't the Western media making him into Islam's new "sambo" (If you don't know what a sambo is, you don't need to know), it's that he, nor his family, receive anything for his face plastered on cheap trinkets expressing our fear of the unknown: Scary black-magic Islam from Terrorstan and preaching in a peaceful, public place about what you believe in.

The last time I raged passionately about a cause, a gay man fell in love with me. Now I'm more calm.

You apparently forgot to mention that Sufi sect of Islam in Kashmir has long been replaced by more intolerant Wahabi sect, promoted by some Arab countries and Pakistan.
Further, what about 500,000 Kashmiri Hindus who were hounded out of their homes by these militants. What happened to Hindus in KAshmir was a genocide. Potraying such militantsas "ailed and innocent" is not going to help any sane cause
US has imprisoned 1000s of terrorist suspects without trial. Here is one convicted terrorist who still gets offers for rehabilitation from Indian state. That probably tells you how much of this "HR violation by India in Kashmir" propoganda is true.

He said himself that he doesn't need the title "Islamic Rage Boy" because he is "a simple Muslim"...
So, that's a simple muslim.
