New Infrared Camera Counts HOV Passengers
UK scientists have invented an infrared camera system called Dtect, which COUNTS THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS inside cars driving in high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes (called "car share lanes" in the UK). The system can distinguish dummies and dogs from people. The system could be used to automatically ticket offenders.
