New System Increases Military Coordination

Thales UK unveiled its MILTRAK military system for the first time ever this week. MILTRAK combines navigation and a display that shows in real time the location and status of "friendly" troops. Users are connected by standard radio signals. Data from laser rangefinders and the ability to coordinate using on-screen symbols enhances "situational awareness."
