What exactly is this advertisement saying? "We use little Asian kids in our sweatshops so we might as well use them in our commercials"

The commercial doesn't make much sense to me and doesn't inspire me to go out and buy Windows 7 so it's a marketing failure.

What the ad appears to be saying is "Look, the media says the new version of windows isn't shitty like the last one" and "as windows users we're 'happy' it doesn't suck."

Wow - they now offer a "stable" product!!! That only took 20 years!!!!

Imagine any other company on earth advertising "stable" as a feature.

GM: "Our cars now feature wheels that don't come off at high speeds!"

Motorola: "Our phones now feature batteries that don't explode during phone calls"

Kenmore: "Our washing machines no longer leak and rip your clothes..."

Bare: "Our aspirin no longer cures your headache by killing you..."

Microsoft: "Our software no longer crashes regularly and destroys your most valuable work and memories"

Of course we all know this is not true... but the very fact that a company attempts to advertise this is simply amazing!

I disagree with you Jonathan. I think this ad is brilliant. It shows the magical merging between a PC and the imagination of a child. It shows that beauty and intelligence in a well written operating system can help people achieve their goals and see their dreams become reality. Uh, yeah, sure...this commercial sucks and I too think it won't inspire anybody to go out and buy 7. I tell you, Microsoft does NOT know how to showcase their products.

I'm totally confused by that. Why do i want W7 over anything else? Oh, must be the rainbows and ability to create odd presentations.

Looks like a hoax to me.

The ad worked because are talking about it good or bad. A few "cutesy" ads like that to at least get your attention that something new is coming Oct 22nd. Lets hope they don't make the same mistake that the Toyota Prius ads made by running cutesy too much.
