Sony unveils 3-D, 360-degree display
Sony unveiled a 3-D, 360-degree display last week at Tokyo's Digital Content EXP0 2009 on Thursday. The company envisions a wide range of applications for the hardware. But let's face it. This will be used for advertising only.

Hm. I wonder how it works. Here's a 3D display which was presented at SIGGRAPH last year. It uses a rotating mirror for a scattering reflection and a hacked 3D graphics card for displaying with a very high frame rate.
Its interesting that various incentives are working together to produce new things. I would like to have this for my entertainment. Other may use it for advertising. How cheap it will be I think is irrelevant because if there is enough need for it, it will be duplicated for cheaper cost.
Oh,"Rita," is nearly resurrected!
