Nintendo Game Cube to Help With Diabetes
Doctor Harold Goldberg at the University of Washington and a few game developers are working on a MEDICAL APPLICATION for the Nintendo Game Cube that will help diabetes patients communicate with their doctors. Goldberg's vision involves enabling patients to test their own blood sugar and blood pressure using digital devices that can be connected to the Game Cube hardware (or PC or smartphone), and also a software interface that queries the patient (have you been eating doughnuts again?, etc.). Data would be sent to the patient's doctor.
