New York Times to Datamine Online Readers
Just more than a year after The New York Times won a Pulitzer prize for uncovering rampant data mining of citizens by the government, Times executives announced to shareholders that it planned to start doing a little DATAMINING OF ITS OWN. The plan is to use sophisticated software to "determine hidden patterns of uses to our website" and better target online advertising.
