Worst USB gadget yet: USB mosquito repellent!

Plug this $5.69 dongle into your USB port, and it emits an ultrasonic frequency that repels mosquitoes. Brilliant? Or idiotic?

Depends where you are in the world. In Argentina it would be useful.

Oh I don't know - If I sit outside in the summer I need to light a mosquito coil to keep them away. If this works it would be less... smokey.

I once bought a USB negative ion generator. I still don't know if it actually does anything.

Couldn't a simple program be made to do the same thing using the laptop's speakers? Save the six bucks.

My wife likes to sit on the front porch with her laptop... there's a lot of mosquitos there, so it would come in handy.
