Two years ago, the best holiday gift was an Amazon Kindle -- if you could get your hands on one. They were hot, new and sold out hours after going on sale. Last year, the Kindle made an awesome gift as well. The e-book market has never been better. But that doesn't mean you should buy one as a gift. Here's why e-book readers make lousy gifts this year.

But there are millions of people who love ereaders who have no interest in $800, life managing, uber tech devices so to think that traditional ebook readers will disappear is probably inaccurate.
The internet is all about niches and there will be a nich for each reader and their lovers so long as they keep improving along the way.
