Gadget turns anything into a speaker.

A Korean company called Xenics plans to launch December 21 a gadget that transforms just about anything into a speaker. The device has a little pod thing tethered to the main unit, which attaches to things, then transfers vibration. Whatever you attach it to actually produces the sound. You can attach it to a box, window, desk or whatever, and that object becomes a speaker.

Seriously? I had one of these gadgets back in 1992. Why is this getting press as a "new" thing in 2010?
